Chapter 1: Initial System Details
System Initial Founding Roll: 10
Recently Founded: None can truly know the exact boundaries of space, for new planets and untouched lands still be discovered every so often. Those who settle in such a manner are those who wish to seek out new lands for new fortunes or start entirely new lives in stark contrast to the current Imperium.
Imperial Contact Roll: 6
Imperial Crusade: Following the Horus Heresy, there was a string of conquests by the Imperium for 10,000 years without the Emperor or one of his sons at the helm. This system has been conquered by one of those, meaning that while the Imperial Creed is worshipped, it is most definitely still on the fringe.
System History Roll: 4
Hub of Commerce: While not bold enough to claim itself truly independent, the people of this system have claimed to be a vassalage or protectorate of sorts, allowing them to interpret the laws of their overlord however they would like. As such, this is a favoured place for any who carry no flags, such as Rogue Traders or mercenaries.
System Anomalies Roll: 22
Nothing
Number of Important Planets in System Roll: 3
One
Chapter 2: Orbit of the Planet
Natural Objects in Orbit Roll: 4
Moons: Most commonly found with civilized planets, moons can provide reflected sunlight at night but most importantly, they could be habitable for people to live in as well. To determine the number of moons a planet has, roll on Table 2-2. Following up on that, one may determine the status of a moon’s condition through Table 2-3.
Number of Moons Roll: 8
Three
Moon Life Support Roll: 5
Minimal: With a bit of aid from the Adeptus Mechanicus, it is possible for people to live on this moon through the use of atmospheric regulators. This moon may be counted as a space station if so desired.
Inorganic Construct Roll: 6
Resource Platforms: Dedicated to mining resources in space or growing more crops due to a shortage of land on the planet, these resource platforms are mostly automated and have little population of note. Table 2-5 and Table 2-6 are both dedicated to figuring out the number of platforms as well as each one’s purpose. If one wishes, they may calculate the population as a Miniscule Imperial planet (note that it does not provide resources aside from its specialization).
Number of Platforms Roll: 4
Two
Platform Purpose Roll: 2
Mining (+1 MU)
Chapter 3: Natural Planetary Details
Planet Size Roll: 38
Average (+0): Easily the most available planet size within the universe, these types of worlds can offer a balance between resources and space that make life easy.
Planetary Atmosphere Roll: 26
Normal: Easy to breathe, this planet's air is an optimal composition for life to thrive here.
Planet Water Availability Roll: 26
Scarce: While not completely lacking, the water sources on this planet are few and far in-between. Life is most likely centered around these sources, so as to ensure long-term survival. Effects: +10 to the roll on Table 3-7.
Number of Terrain:
Four
Terrain Type Rolls: 61, 36, 24
Moor: While the land is fertile, it has not yet been used for farming for a multitude of reasons. Perhaps the population doesn't need it quite yet, or perhaps there is far too much bloodshed going on at the moment to settle on it. Enabled Regiments: Siege Infantry, Artillery.
Dormant Volcano: Perhaps it had expended all of its energy, or time has simply sealed it up, but the volcano in this area is completely dormant and harmless. A perfect source for thermal energy if lava is still flowing beneath. Enabled Regiments: Close-Assault Infantry, Heavy Reconnaissance.
Hills: There are many bumps on the landscape, forming multiple miniature mountains. This can make planning for buildings slightly more difficult, as different elevations will have to be considered if they wish for construction to be level. Enabled Regiments: Siege Infantry, Artillery.
Islands: A perfect holiday terrain, islands can potentially combine the best aspects of everything fora nice day on the beach. Hopefully, the population has taken advantage of this incredible biome blessing. Enabled Regiments: Grenadier Infantry, Artillery.
Planet Resources Availability Roll: 18
Plentiful (x2): The resources on the planet are freely available and the population are grateful for it. Cities and smaller towns with the occasional hamlet dot the entire surface, taking in the natural bounty of the planet.
Planet Average Temperature:
Average (14 to 90 F): The ideal combination of cold and heat, this temperature level allows for the best variety of life. There isn't much to fear from dying of frost or overheat, so just put on whatever clothes works.
Chapter 4: Planetary Civilization Details
Type of Planet:
Imperial World: A very generic label for the vast majority of worlds in the Imperium, these worlds understand the worship of the Emperor but have not been fully uplifted in terms of technology. As such, they tend to use more generic or outdated weapons.
Planetary Tech Level:
Standard Imperial: The most common state of majority of worlds in the Imperium, the people are used to the idea of travelling across the sector now. With it comes common knowledge about the Imperium, the God-Emperor, and the temptations of the Warp. Establishment of institutes for war are fairly common now, as the citizen understands the many wars being fought.
Number of Nations
Four
Culture of Imperial Age Roll: 5
Abhuman Friendly: Considerably more tolerant than the rest of the Imperium, the populace accepts abhumans as equals in terms of humanity, as what are but a few wrong features against the alien menace?
Type of Planetary Rule:
Warlord: Power is divided both politically and military among several individuals, who in turn split it among their underlings. These government types tend to elect a single individual to represent the planet to the Imperium, but they are little more than a figurehead watching as these warlords clash against each other for power. Suggested Elites: Fortress Regiments
Planetary Governor Neptune has the ability to rule the planet as she wishes, so she wishes that one person, and their family, rules each of the nation with one nation being hers. Then, each ruler crafts their government as they wish but always has said ruler at the type and, in the case they go missing, their sister will take their place. Each of these rulers are great warriors in their own right, but how they hold up against Neptune is another question entirely.
Leanbox is ruled by Tetrarch Vert.
Lowee is ruled by Tetrarch Blanc.
Lastation is ruled by Tetrarch Noire.
Planeptune is ruled by the final, and some would say the most important, Tetrarch Neptune.
Planetary Population Roll: 88
5 billion
Local Standard of Living Roll: 3
Regular (x1): The people have a good balance between wants and needs, and have no complaints about their living conditions. Effect: None
Loyalty to the Imperium:
Neutral: There are no strong feelings of either loyalty or hatred that these people posses when it comes to Imperial life so far.
Planetary Psychic Protentional Roll: 9
Concerning: Unsanctioned psykers are a massive issue on this planet, as it seems that the gift of the Warp is given to many more than can be handled. An Inquisitor will most likely have to be dispatched here to stem the tide of heresy.
Chapter 5: Military Potential
Military Quantity: 40 Regiments
Level 4-7: An excellent balance between quality control and quantity of troops. The Administarum would be satisfied by this planet's military tithe, and the Imperial Guard grows.
Military Quality: Green Camp
Level 4-7: A standard quality level that majority of the Administarum would be satisfied with when it came to Imperial Guard training. There may be some scuffles here and there, but they are overshadowed by the regiment's valiant performance.
Each nation has 10 regiments, 6 being Line Infantry, 2 being Siege Infantry, 1 being Armored, and 1 being Artillery. Planeptune replaces 1 Line Infantry Regiment with 1 Elite Mechanized infantry (they can choose one free doctrine).
Airbases Roll: 3
Modernization: The airports of the world are now far more professional, as simple gravel is replaced by tar and paint markings. There are now dedicated people working at the field, along with proper facilities to ensure to all operations on it go smoothly. Effects: 30 FR, 20 BR
Estimation of Defenses Roll: 5
Optimized: Much has been devoted to the defenses of this planet. The people are ready to die before they let the enemy take their land! Effects: Roll five (5) times on Table 5-5.
Varieties of Fortification Rolls: 2, 4, 1, 5, 8
Minefields: Unseen and buried into the ground, these traps are deadly to both infantry and armour alike if they pass over it without realizing.
AA Suites: A mix between both low and medium calibre guns make up these fortifications, ideal for shooting down enemy aircraft that pass by.
Grand Citadel: A magnificent and thick-walled castle dominates the landscape, its walls filled withdeadly weapons made for killing all those who dare to challenge it.
Missile Batteries: Usually loaded with surface-to-air missiles, these weapons lock onto enemy
aircraft out of normal range and fire tracking payloads that will not stop until detonation.
Pillbox Killzones: A traditional but effective tactic is to build several protective bunkers and line them up so as to cross their lines of fire, effectively pinning any who try to commit to a frontal assault while protecting them from aerial infantry.
Local Naval Power:
Admiral: Experienced junior officers who show promise are given the experimentally rank of Admirals to see how well they truly can perform when in charge of a small fleet. Effect: This planet has 2 Escorts and 4 Cruisers in orbit.
Chapter 6: Hidden Archeotech
Hidden Archeotech on Planet Roll: 8
Traces: Through digging through many old reports and cross referencing them, there could be something hidden. Effect: Add -20 to your next roll in Table 6-2.
Archeotech Find Roll: 73
Weapons Cache: The archeotech hidden on this planet is a cache of ancient weaponry, ranging from plasma guns to power swords. Effect: Roll on Table 6-4 to discover what weapons are stashed here.
Weapons Cache Rolls: 73, 96
Ancient Weapons, Power Axe, Needle Pistol
