Playing as an Android

Androids are self-autonomous machines designed to look like humans. Yet, their purpose are readily limited to not "step on the toes" of Gemini's replicants. Some even say they are much weaker compared to the average combat replicant, but the truth of the matter is that UIG trusts androids a bit more compared to replicants and they have great customization. They can take on the appearance of a large, muscular man or that of a young girl, but still retain the exact same abilities.
All androids are built with long-lasting batteries, so long that many will be destroyed before they even need to replace it. Yet, they are able to eat food and drinks in order to offer their batteries a light boost. The type of food and drink doesn't matter, but most androids have specific preferences. Androids that eat also find themselves burping.
Some Corporations find the use of androids as Agents easier as they are less likely to switch sides compared to Humans. They also find them easier to place in survival-heavy scenarios as they require no food.
Androids are built much like agents, but with the following changes:
Strength, Reflexes, Agility, and Perception have a max of 13 compared to a human's 10. Endurance has a max of 14. An android's Strength and Endurance starts out at 8.
Instead of Intelligence, they have AI. Although a flaw in programming means a number of androids can "accidentally" become sentient, but most of them are quite find in their designated position. This is thanks to an internal program referred to as "DOPAMINE". A.I. is maxed out at 10.
Presence is maxed out at 8 and starts out at 6. This is due to the fact that most androids either lack advanced emotional abilities or have dead giveaways to their robotic nature. This is either from rarely displaying anything more than a neutral expression to their entire torso being visibly metallic and showing off their various moving parts.
Abilities
Center of Being:
The most important body part of an android are their heads as that holds their A.I. An android can survive being beheaded for their Endurance/2 hours before their emergency power bank forces them into "rest" mode.
Furthermore, they require their negative HP to be Strength + Endurance *1.5 (Rounded Up) in order to be flat-out killed.
As long as the android's memory bank is undamaged, or has been backed up, they may be given a new body.
Fully Inorganic:
Androids are immune to all toxins, injected or gaseous. Their synthetic skin shell and metal also count as 1 AV which is stackable with all other AV. They are also less susceptible to heat and cold.
Modability:
Since androids are purely robotic beings, they never have to pay for the installation cost as they can easily remove their body parts and plop new ones into place with little hassle.
Self Repair:
The android is able to heal itself. It requires a Cybernetics or Mechtronics toolkit and 50 credits to gather replacement parts. This recovers 10 HP in a 30 minute time span, but they can continue to work on themselves for however long that they wish and as long as they have the credits/replacement parts.
A GM may wish for the character to roll a Perception + Observation check instead of spending credits to see if they are able to find the parts needed.
Androids can also use Nanite Cluster (100c, found in MoW pp. 44) in the same way humans use Medkits.
Self-Destruct:
An android may choose to destroy itself if desired. This is an explosions that deals 9d10 damage in a 15 meter blast.
Disadvantages
EMP Rating:
18 + Endurance + AI
(This never causes death, but will knock out the android for a bit.)
Inorganic:
Androids do not recover HP naturally, no matter how much rest they get. If they consume an appropriate amount of calories (roughly the same amount as an Agent's), they can recover 1 HP for the day.
Not a Real Boy:
Considering their inhuman status, they max out at 4 Conviction instead of 5. If they ever achieve 10 A.I., this is ignored as they have achieved full understanding of emotions and thoughts.
Special Equipment:
Real Human Being Background AI
15,000c
Attached to the A.I. of an android, this, most would describe as a program, allows them to mimic human emotions with a 95% "appropriateness" rate! This increases the android's maximum Presence by 1.
Replacement Body
25,000c + 25% of all Cybernetics Cost (Optional)
Some corporations refuse to pay for a replacement, citing it as a a cost too steep. Or the android may find themselves abandoned by their corporations after a bad mission. That is why other corporations or a particularly rich person may decide to foot this bill for them if they do not have the money for it. The GM may offer free cybernetics or gear from the corporation/kind soul.
Naturally, the corporation or person will ask for something in return. Be it a job or becoming a walking billboard for them.
Gemini's Synthmuscle Adjudicator
8,000c
Some cybernetics don't exactly make sense for an Android such as the myotic restructuring. This cyberentic, muscle added just below the psuedo-skin layer, allows for an android to benefit from certain bioware upgrades while ensuring it makes sense.
